Fulham and Manchester United clash at Craven Cottage in Premier League showdown

Premier League action continues as Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage for a crucial second-round fixture on August 24, 2025. The Sunday afternoon clash, set to kick off at 16:30, will be officiated by Chris Kavanagh as both teams look to improve on their opening weekend performances. Marco Silva's Cottagers will be aiming to build on their solid start to the campaign, while Ruben Amorim's Red Devils are desperate to bounce back from their disappointing opening defeat.

Fulham currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League table with one point from their opening match, having secured a 1:1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion. Manchester United, meanwhile, find themselves in a precarious 18th position after suffering a 0:1 defeat to Arsenal in their season opener, leaving them without a point. The Red Devils will be eager to avoid falling further behind their rivals so early in the campaign, while the Cottagers have an opportunity to climb into the top half of the table with a victory. With both teams having played just one league match, this early-season encounter could set the tone for their respective campaigns.

Fulham enter this fixture in promising form, having lost just one of their last five matches across all competitions. The Cottagers began their Premier League campaign with a respectable 1:1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion (on 16.08.2025), following a successful pre-season that included victories over Eintracht Frankfurt 1:0 (on 09.08.2025), Al Ittihad 4:2 (on 30.07.2025), and Nottingham Forest 3:1 (on 26.07.2025). Their only defeat came against Manchester City 0:2 (on 25.05.2025) in last season's final match. Manchester United, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency, winning two, drawing two, and losing one of their last five matches. The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 0:1 defeat to Arsenal (on 17.08.2025) in their Premier League opener, after pre-season draws against Fiorentina 1:1 (on 09.08.2025) and Everton 2:2 (on 03.08.2025), and victories over AFC Bournemouth 4:1 (on 31.07.2025) and West Ham United 2:1 (on 26.07.2025).
