On Friday morning after the story broke, Namwamba posted an update of his foreign tour in India where he is seeking to improve bilateral relations between the two countries.

He did to give any mention of the controversial story published by a local tabloid.

Bilateral talks

He had met the Minister of State for External Affairs in India, Gen. (DR.) V.K Singh where they discussed trade, investment, and defence cooperation.

"Held bilateral talks with India's Minister of State for External Affairs Gen. (Dr.) V.K. Singh who hosted me in his office in New Delhi. Discussed the strengthening of Kenya-India relations in the areas of trade, investment and defence cooperation," Namwamba stated.
